Welcome to the OTW Friends’ Company page, we’re a volunteer group raising much needed funds for Oldham Theatre Workshop. 4 Theatre Workshop. This building is now Oldham Theatre Workshop but was built in 1868 as a Friends Meeting House for Oldham’s Quakers. The lions were originally at the Market Hall in Oldham and were moved here after a fire burned it down in 1974.
Applied Theatre Practitioner. I joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop team in 2005 as the country’s first Applied Theatre Practitioner. Most of my work is in partnership with other services putting theatre at the heart of social issues. I’ve commissioned plays performed in residential properties looking at issues concerning domestic violence.
