In Zappa-Biographien wird aber immer wieder betont, dass Zappa den Doo Wop, mit dem er groß geworden war, wirklich mochte, dass "Ruben and the Jets" also keineswegs eine bitterböse Satire sei, eher eine liebevolle Parodie. Okay, aber eine Parodie ist's schon.
