  4. Remarkably I ignored Young and Rich (1976) while it is sandwitched between The Tubes (1975) and Now (1977), two of my all time favorite albums. It just never appealed to me and after today's two full listens I'm still no fan. I'll admit that from 2018 perspective these old Tubes albums converge quite a bit, but the songs on Y&R are a lot weaker, the recordings seem lazy or unfocussed.

It's a joy to hear these albums, which have been out of print for quite a while. This material is much more interesting than that huge hit, "She's A Beauty," the song the band is most known for.
