I highly recommend ''Agent Running in the Field'' by the spy thriller author John LeCarre (pen name for David Cornwell) . It is beautifully written just like all of his wonderful novels which he started writing in 1962. This novel sadly is the final spy thriller written by John LeCarre in 2019 before he died in 2020 from pneumonia at age 89.
