8 de jun. de 2017 · Jonny n'a tout simplement plus la même voix qu'à l'époque et il a toujours souhaité déborder le strict cadre du blues. Mais quelle voix dans ce "Signs" ! Personne ne peut chanter comme Jonny Lang, avec cette intensité que l'on peut entendre de "Make it move" à "Singing songs". Ce que j'aime dans cet album :
Signs is not merely a return the artist's guitar-based beginnings, but an embodiment of an even more elemental sound. ... "I let the writing be what it was and that was sometimes not necessarily the blues." At 15, Jonny Lang made a blues album, 1997's Lie to Me, which went platinum and hit #1 on Billboard's New Artist chart.

Jonny Lang: Signs. Früher wurde Jonny Lang als Wunderkind des Blues gefeiert. Bei seinem Debüt war er gerade einmal 14 Jahre alt. Heute, 2017, ist der virtuose Gitarrist und Sänger mit der Reibeisenstimme 36 Jahre alt und gestaltet nach wie vor fleißig das Genre mit. Mit seinem Album »Signs« setzt er wieder einmal ein Zeichen.
