Ben Folds Presents: University A Cappella! är ett studioalbum med a cappella-versioner av några av den amerikanska pianorockaren Ben Folds populäraste låtar, släppt den 28 april 2009. Låtarna framförs av a cappella-grupper från skolor runt om i USA, förutom två av låtarna, som framförs av Folds själv.
6 de may. de 2009 · 而Ben Folds Five乐队时期的经典情歌Brick则由Ohio大学的Leading Tones合唱团来演唱，这个团的男主唱在歌曲高潮部分的表现那是相当地闷骚，让人哆嗦的假音如果让上了年纪的老Ben也去飙的话，大叔估计也就只能干拔上去抽插两下就挂了，看来这些个玩摇滚的还是不要和玩美声的折腾嗓子的好啊。

“In 2009 Ben Folds released a greatest hits record, of sorts, sung entirely in a cappella. The album, Ben Folds Presents: University A Cappella! features two tracks performed by Ben himself, but the bulk of the material was performed by various university a cappella groups.” You can catch a documentary version above.
11 de dic. de 2023 · Despite Ben Folds' protests to the contrary, University A Cappella! is a total novelty, its 16 songs containing nary an instrument and many a harmonized voice. Some may view the move as a gimmick, but there's something truly...well, novel about Folds' work with these young ensembles, all of whom re-create the songwriter's acerbic pop/rock with voices alone.

The Luckiest. The Washington University in St. Louis Amateurs. The talented and creative singer-songwriter Ben Folds became enamored of collegiate a cappella after hearing some of the groups on YouTube. On this release he recorded some of his favorite campus a cappella groups as they each perform one of his songs and the result is a delight.
