It suffers from the problem that also bogged down The Who’s “It’s Hard” and several other ‘80s albums, namely just too much social observation in lieu of real melodies. 5 de nov. de 2021 · UK Jive vind ik dan ook een zwaar onderschat album. Er staat voor mij maar 1 echt zwak nummer op ( War Is Over), de rest is kwalitatief goed tot sterk en is lekker afwisselend. Zo heb je een meedeiner in Loony Balloon, rock 'n roll met UK Jive, het mooie semi-ballad How Do I Get Close en het melancholische getinte Now And Then.
