Speaking through his Facebook, Zombie offered the rather blunt statement on his passing: “Well, I heard rumors of this a few days ago but I wasn’t sure if they were true or not. But it seems that one of our former drummers for White Zombie has died.

Phil Buerstatte was a member of White Zombie from 1992-1994, hitting the road with the industrial act for its La Sexorcisto tour. The percussionist also recorded three songs with White Zombie. Phil Buerstatte passed away over the weekend of May 19-20, 2013 in Madison, Wisconsin.
