Biografia Infanzia. Chingy nasce a St. Louis e cresce in un quartiere a cui ancora oggi, nelle sue canzoni, gli piace riferirsi col termine "Bad Blocks". Ha due fratelli più grandi e due sorelle più piccole. Comincia a diventare fan dell'hip hop ascoltando gruppi Old School come Run DMC e altri artisti di punta come ad esempio Ice Cube, i quali considera i suoi "Beatbox Heroes".
Chingy ficou famoso e ganhou notoriedade com seu estilo de Hip Hop diferenciado, com batidas e musica dançantes. Ganhou fama e ficou conhecido no Brasil com o single "Balla Baby", que foi um dos temas da temporada de 2005 de Malhação de 2005 da ... Success & Failure (2010)
