After several early EPs that Kevin Shields has since disowned, My Bloody Valentine settled into a stable lineup of Shields and Bilinda Butcher sharing guitar and vocal duties backed by bassist Debbie Googe and drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig. 1988's You Made Me Realise introduced their signature sound of heavily processed guitar lines and somnambulant vocals awash in reverb and buried deep in the mix.
