Tinker (S'00–M'05) received the Ph.D. degree in materials science from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, in 1984, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering in microelectronic design and the second Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, in 2001 and 2006, respectively.
