Starship Troopers síce nedosahuje kvalít Aliens či Predatora, ale je to veľmi dobré sci-fi, ktoré ma skvelé akcie, vizuálne efekty, drsných hercov (Ironside!), dej, ktorý nenudí a perfektnú hudbu Basila Poledourisa. Škoda, že ďalšie pokračovanie už nedokázali držať krok s prvým dielom.

Hoofdrollen werden vertolkt door Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer en Denise Richards. De film is een satire op Amerikaans patriottisme, oorlogsfilms en propaganda in het algemeen.
Starship Troopers ends, as it begins, with a rousing action scene - one that rounds the story off well. The novel seems ideally suited for cinematic adaptation, and therefore it is surprising that Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 film version of Starship Troopers was such a disappointment.
