He's from my home town (Birmingham, AL) and had a minor hit with his old band (Virgos Merlot) with the song "Kiss My Disease" which was recorded by a great producer in Birmingham, also. I prefer the 'newer' version of Brett's old band (just called the Virgos) to Virgos Merlot.
