Also look for the 3-disc set Nighthawks, Translucence, and Drift Music - so good, so gorgeous. And The Robin Guthrie collaborations, of course. In a way, The White Arcades makes a nice companion to The Moon And The Melodies (made with Cocteau Twins).

Born in Los Angeles and raised in the Mojave Desert , he became a respected composer in the minimal music and avant-garde scene of Southern California in the late 1960s, and later became better known for his work with figures such as Brian Eno and Robin Guthrie .
