26 de feb. de 2013 · Ian Gomm was an original member of Brinsley Schwarz, the late-70's "pub-rock" pioneers who also seeded the career of Nick Lowe. This CD anthology pretty much gives you everything you need for your Ian Gomm collection, including of course his biggest hit "Hold On" (sounding quite similar to former bandmate Nick Lowe's "Cruel To Be Kind", which was also getting radio airplay at about the same time).
Ian Robert Gomm (* 28.März 1947 in Chiswick, West London) ist ein britischer Gitarrist, Sänger und Songwriter, der 1970 bis 1974 bei Brinsley Schwarz spielte. Als deren Mitglied wurde er 1971 vom New Melody Maker (NME) als bester Rhythmus-Gitarrist benannt. 1979 kam er als Solist mit der Single Hold on bis auf Platz 18 der Billboard Top 100 in den USA.
