Maartin Allcock (fødd 5. januar 1957), òg kjend som Martin Allcock, er ein multi-instrumentalist og plateprodusent.. Han var fødd i Middleton i Lancashire og studerte musikk i Huddersfield og Leeds.Han byrja å spele profesjonelt i januar 1976 i danseband og folkeklubbar. Den første turneen hans var i 1977 med Mike Harding som ein av the Brown Ale Cowboys.

OX15 is also an Oxfordshire postcode area in the middle of what was called the folk-rock belt and encompassing such cultural landmarks as Barford St Michael, Bloxham, Hook Norton and Broughton Castle.

17 de sept. de 2018 · Really sad to hear the news of the passing of Maartin Allcock. Not a surprise as his diagnosis with terminal liver cancer prepared Maart, his family and friends both musical and non musical, for the inevitable. All the more poignant when you look back just a few weeks to his last public and musical appearance in public at Fairport’s 2018 ...
He passed away just a few weeks later in September. Innerviews spoke to Allcock at Barrymore’s Music Hall on the opening night of Fairport’s 1991 North American tour in Ottawa, Canada. Fairport’s recent output partially relies on MIDI technology, which is a shift for the group. Describe how that has influenced its recent output.
