The Hound of the Baskervilles is a 1959 British gothic mystery film directed by Terence Fisher and produced by Hammer Film Productions. It is based on the 1902 novel of the same title by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It stars Peter Cushing as Sherlock Holmes, Sir Christopher Lee as Sir Henry Baskerville and André Morell as Doctor Watson.
Synopsis. Spoof version of the famous Sherlock Holmes story, starring practically every famous comedy actor available in Britain in 1978. Dudley Moore plays the inept Dr Watson, stumbling across not a huge hound but assorted chihuahuas loose on the moors, while Peter Cook as Sherlock Holmes is so aloof he is actually bored, and ambles off in pursuit of his own interests.

(he had scored the film himself like a silent movie) is booed and pelted with vegetables at the end, it doesn't seem like a joke at all, but then, neither does much else here.
