Lovely. Interesting concept, but it promotes a past-oriented idealism that is kinda detached from reality and a bit troubling for me. A romantic comedy about a family traveling to the French capital for business. The party includes a young engaged couple forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.

Despite its odd combination of elements, the film manages to be endearing in its own way. Owen Wilson delivers a relaxed performance, while Rachel McAdams struggles to connect with him as the spoiled fiancee.
