Beetlejuice (alternativer deutscher Titel: Lottergeist Beetlejuice) ist eine US-amerikanische Horrorkomödie aus dem Jahr 1988. Ursprünglich geplant als Film mit übernatürlichem Sujet und deutlich morbidem Charakter unter dem Titel The Maitlands, änderte der Regisseur Tim Burton die Grundstimmung des Filmes nach der Verpflichtung des Hauptdarstellers Michael Keaton in eine schwarze Komödie.
