3 de dic. de 2019 · The Grateful Dead finished rolling out 30 free tracks spanning 1966 - 1994 from the band's archive for their 2019 '30 Days Of Dead' promotion.
Initial release : 2016. dead.net. Every November, since 2010, 30 Grateful Dead tracks have been released for download on the official dead.net website. One track is made available each day to form, by the 30th of the month, a wide ranging 30 track "album". The tracks made available during November 2016 are listed on this page.
I believe in all the years I've been doing the 30 Days, this is only the second 30 Days show I attended (though I missed at least the first year of 30 Days, so I could be wrong.) I live in Michigan, which in the day wasn't a hotbed of Deadhead life, so I didn't really know about touring Deadheads and only got to shows when the band came to Michigan, which wasn't even every tour.

The first three songs coming out of "Space" were quite standard in their positioning, but everyone at the Knick this night was surprised when they followed "Throwing Stones" with the "Playing In The Band" reprise, closing the "Playing In The Band" they'd played at opening night of this three night run in Albany. Winner.
The Grateful Dead effectively ended with bandleader Jerry Garcia's death in 1995, but their presence never faded. Spin-off projects continued decades later, and regularly released archival recordings of the group's more than 2,000 concerts help new generations of Deadheads discover the band's sound, spectacle, and community perennially.
