Tribute. Joan M Koutsky (nee Kirkwood), 92, of Park Forest, passed away on October 10, 2023, in Beecher, Il. Joan was born in Chicago to James and Mary Kirkwood on June 11, 1931. She married George Koutsky in 1950 in Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University. Joan worked as a teacher and was active in the Audubon society for many years.

Koutsky left in late 1989 and was replaced by Demetra "Dee" Plakas; that year L7 put out "Shove"/"Packin' a Rod", a blistering 7-inch that was part of the storied Sub Pop Singles Club.
