Captain Sensible. Raymond Ian Burns (born 24 April 1954), better known by his stage name Captain Sensible, is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He co-founded the punk rock band The Damned, first playing bass before switching to guitar. He is best known for a UK number one hit with his cover of "Happy Talk" in 1982.
