Hace 4 días · Katrina Leskanich, Kimberley Rew, Alex Cooper and Vince de la Cruz were the four members of Katrina and the Waves when they formed in 1981. The Cambridge based band had an early success with their upbeat "Walking on Sunshine", written by band member Rew which reached number eight in the UK Singles Chart.

With their love of three-part harmonies and Rickenbacker guitar chords, their version brought to mind The Beatles.

A glass trophy in the shape of a microphone is awarded to the winning performer, and smaller trophies are given to the winning songwriters.
