23 de may. de 2024 · One thing I really wanted to know was whether Sadler was inspired by Nighty Night, Julia Davis’s pitch-black comedy that debuted 20 years ago last January. Such Brave Girls seemed to channel that show’s brutal skewering of female relationships and perfectly-pitched insensitivity, and I hadn’t seen anything in that vein for a long time.

24 de may. de 2024 · Julia Davis' best work ever in my opinion. You were clearly distracted by some highly amusing wallpaper just to the left or right of your television set. It was actually quite sad to see great comic performers like Alex Macqueen following the 'play it straight' rule, but that never works if you've no real comic material to undermine the straightness.
