19 de may. de 2024 · SteveDave mentions Doug Yule. Sterling Morrison wanted him on the Velvet Underground reunion in the early 90s but was veto'd by Reed and Cale. His reason was mostly that he didn't want to play bass but I think it would've made sense because as well as that, Yule could've played keyboards when Cale played bass and bass when Cale was playing viola.
8 de may. de 2024 · However, like the band's debut, all albums later achieved critical acclaim. In the early 1970s, all but Yule left the band. Yule led an abortive UK tour in 1973, and released a final album under the Velvet Underground name, Squeeze (1973), recorded mostly by Yule with session musicians, before the band dissolved shortly after.
22 de may. de 2024 · Reed Alexander is an American musician, singer, and songwriter best known for his work with the alternative rock band The Velvet Underground. Alexander joined The Velvet Underground in 1990, replacing longtime bassist Doug Yule. He played on the band's final album, Loaded, and toured with them extensively until their in 1973.
