The Giving Tree ~~ Shel Silverstein I recently reread Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree. It was the first time in many years I have read it. I love this book; I always have. But, reading it as an adult, over 30, was so different this time around. The warm fuzzies of past reads were missing. Now, it made me feel sad, and empty.
