She was raised in a musical family, including 3 sisters and one brother, who all played various instruments. Suzi herself made her debut on stage playing bongo’s in her fathers jazz band, "The Art Quatro Trio".

Etter Heart of Stone sent i 1982, tok det en god stund før hun fikk en ny hit i Storbritannia. I 1983 ga hun ut singelen Main Attraction.
