18 de may. de 2021 · As previously stated the release is a replica of #258 ‘The Saint’s Car’ Volvo P.1800. The design cell for this model is shown below. The model is a good replica of the original. Happily, passing off as an original should be difficult, as both box and car clearly state made in China and the box is clearly marked Hornby Hobbies.

The P1800 gained worldwide publicity every week on TV as ‘The Saint’s Car’, driven by Roger Moore who played the part of Simon Templar. The P1800 was never intended to be a mass-produced car.

It was The Saint, which aired from 1962 to 1969, that paved the way for Moore’s ascension to the role of James Bond, which he played post-Templar from 1973 to 1985.
