The music, credited to all the band, was mainly written by Richard Wright and David Gilmour, while Roger Waters' lyrics addressed themes of human communication and empathy, to which he returned in later work. The song was performed live regularly by Pink Floyd from 1971 to 1975, including a performance in the film Live at Pompeii (1972).
21 de oct. de 2003 · It sticks to the Pompeii theme and I like that a lot. As a bonus the directors cut also includes some extra interviews which have never been previously released. There is one very funny scene of a very stoned Roger Waters giving the director a very hard time during an interview.

31 de oct. de 2010 · Roger en una prueba de sonido en 1977 con el bajo practicamente igual que en 1970, y asi como el sunburst hizo Live at pompeii, el black hizo la mayoria de las presentaciones de Dark Side of The Moon hasta The Wall. Tambien se uso en Crystal Park en 1971 (donde Echoes hizo su debut). Extrañamente, pareceria que ROger nunca usaba bajos de backup.
