  1. 17 de ago. de 2022 · Keef Hartley Band – ‘Sinnin’ For You: The Albums 1969-1973’ (2022) After being dismissed from The Artwoods and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, drummer Keef Hartley formed a band bearing his name and was promptly signed to a long term deal with Decca Records, releasing a total of seven albums on the progressive/psych rock Deram sub-label.

  2. Credited to Hartley and Cruickshank, this minute-long instrumental opens with tom-toms, followed by a solo guitar improvisation on an eastern scale. A menacing, funky riff develops behind the guitar, before it all fades out. I’d love to have heard more, but instead we get. 1d) “The Halfbreed.”.

  3. 2 de oct. de 2022 · The album overall, Lancashire Poacher (1973) is a tad schizophrenic, as it veers between the vocal extravaganzas and some longer form pieces, augmented by orchestration, which seem to pull in a different direction. Tellingly, it is attributed to Keef Hartley rather than any band.

  7. 10 de may. de 2022 · 50 odd years ago I saw Keef Hartley live as support to John Mayall and it was a show that left a huge impression on me. This was the period when JM had no drummer so KH sat in on his set as well. The first 3 albums in this box I was very familiar with, not so much the rest but they’re pretty ok.
