Review by Allison M. 🌱 ★★★½ 1. The film builds intrigue as Burt Lancaster (the professor) begrudgingly rents out space to a woman and her daughter and the craziest things ensue. It has a feeling like Luis Buñuel's The Exterminating Angel or The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, but no surrealism, only hyperrealism.
