George Ramogi was a Kenyan musician and a driving force behind the "benga" music genre. In 1965, he co-founded the Luo Sweet Band, later known as the Continental Kilo Jazz Band (C.K. Jazz). Ramogi played a pivotal role in revitalizing traditional Luo benga and rumba music. His band's performances were marked by infectious rhythms and melodies.
