He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 3, 1986, to Robin Lewis Polite and Lloyd Polite, Sr. He has two siblings: Brandy Polite and Chuckie D. Reynolds. At the young age of 11, Lloyd joined the group N-Toon, created by Joyce Irby of the 80s group Klymaxx. While the group released the single "Ready" and the album Toon Time in 2000, they broke up shortly after.
