Rocketman chce být oboje a snaží se životní příběh Eltona Johna podat jako film, ve kterém se řeší jeho závislosti a traumata, ale kde zároveň lidé tančí uprostřed ulice. Hezky se na to kouká, dohromady to ale moc nesedí a především skutečně dramatické scény úplně nefungují, protože zkrátka není dost času na to, aby je tvůrci dokázali patřičně prodat.
