2 de nov. de 1993 · Ripley is one of the outstanding characters of crime novels. In this novel he is actually trying to help someone but goes about it in a way that only Tom Ripley can. The outcome is not what he expects. In this novel the reader really is on Ripley's side in many parts of the book. I think Highsmith is one of the best authors of the 20th century.
