  2. 29 de may. de 2024 · From the 1970s until his death in 2013, writer and actor Franco Scaldati exemplified an admirable course of artistic development for many young practitioners of theatre, and yet his work was largely ignored by local and national cultural institutions as well as by critics, who revealed themselves incapable of making sense of it in terms of the Italian theatrical tradition as they understood it.

  3. In 2002 the Compagnia Franco Scaldati was founded and is still active today. The playwright continued to work for the company right up to his death in 2013. The figurative artist and set designer Michele Canzoneri (Palermo, 1944) has donated to the Institute of Theatre and Opera some documentary material related to his work as a stage designer.
