Katherine Marie Heigl vykoukla na svět 24. listopadu roku 1978. Se svými rodiči a sourozenci (John a Meg) se přestěhovala do Nové Kanady. Když byla malá, ze všeho na světě se nejvíc těšila na Vánoce.
