John Marwood Cleese (født 1939 i Weston-super-Mare, Somerset) er en britisk komiker og skuespiller, kjent som et av medlemmene av Monty Python.. Cleese ble internasjonalt med TV-seriene Monty Python's Flying Circus og Hotell i særklasse. Det komiske talentet utviklet han som medlem av teatergruppen Cambridge Footlights under studiene ved Downing College i Cambridge.
