Ethel Barrymore was an immensely talented and gifted American actor and stage performer. Coming from the Barrymore family of actors, she was somewhat destined to become an actor. Like other members of the family, young Barrymore couldn’t resist the temptation of the stage and soon made her foray as a stage actress during the New York City season of 1894.
