Mulholland Drive is a street and road in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California. It is named after pioneering Los Angeles civil engineer William Mulholland. Mulholland drive vnímám jako pravou podstatu filmového umění, kde je surrealistická vize posunuta nad realistické vyprávění. Nevím jak tomu skutečně je, ale pokusím se tedy tento film promítnout jako surrealistický film, v němž jsou postavy zachyceny cyklem obrazů a výjevů a mohou pouze vzdorovat událostem a kde není jen jediná správná interpretace.
