Wide Swing Tremolo is the third studio album by alternative country band Son Volt. It was released in 1998 on Warner Bros. Records. The album peaked at No. 93 on the Billboard 200.
After touring behind Wide Swing Tremolo, Son Volt went on hiatus in 1999, though they refused to call it a breakup. Farrar debuted as a solo artist with the 2001 album Sebastopol, and released two more solo albums, 2003's studio set Terroir Blues and 2004's live disc Stone, Steel & Bright Lights.
