Fans of Japan already know about Rain Tree Crow (or had better), and about the musicianship of all the players on this album. The arrangements and lyrics are abstract, provocative perfection.

  6. To shake off the expectations of Japan fans and to open out the places they could go to musically speaking they ditched the Japan moniker and chose the name Rain Tree Crow. It works. This album does not sound like a Japan album to me, yet has all the things I liked about Japan back in the room, so to speak.
