After Wiedlin quit, the Go-Go’s had to go through another lineup change: Valentine switched to rhythm guitar, and Paula Jean Brown joined as the band’s new bassist. Brown, who is interviewed in the documentary (she wasn’t in “Behind the Music”), remembers she was very excited at first to join the Go-Go’s, before she knew how bad things were in the band.
