Rising Out Of The Ashes has been constructed from demos, old & new songs, without forgetting Lordian Guard songs. Some might say the band didn't take too much risk, but isn't it somehow logical that after these "empty years" and a new singer Warlord played a safety card. Warlord 's music hasn't changed for a dime and if you are an Iron Maiden ...
Warlord issued Rising Out of the Ashes via Italian Athreia Records (which in turn sub-licensed it to German Drakkar Records), re-recording several tracks that had previously appeared on the Lordian Guard albums, however with the traditional heavier sound of Warlord.
From a strictly musical standpoint, there is little reason to have made Rising out of the Ashes, Warlord's comeback after almost 20 years of dormancy. Most of the songs are re-releases, where the originals are better. Some of the originals were instrumentals and could have been left that way. I'm a big Yngwie Malmsteen fan.
