Field placements are similar in length to an academic semester and typically involve full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. The Personal Support Worker program will provide opportunities for experiential learning through the hands-on skills lab and 2 field placements (facility and community).
As an International student, you will require a study permit to enrol in a full-time program that is longer than six months in duration. You can apply for a study permit from inside or outside of Canada. Refugee claimants and convention refugees must also obtain a study permit to attend a full-time program in Canada.

Students starting in September 2024. To be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP), you must: be in Canada for the complete duration of your studies from Sept. 1, 2024 onwards. attend at least 50 per cent of your program in class and meet all other PGWP requirements . In class options include in-person, hybrid, and flexible courses.
