This band was founded by band leader Ed Wynne, who with his brother Roly Wynne met the other band members of the first line-up of OZRIC TENTACLES at a campfire during the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983. The band immediately hit it off and performed a jam session on the spot.

19 de sept. de 2015 · Roly Wynne, bassist from Ozric Tentacles, brother of Ed, sadly took his own life in the late-90's. Unknown why. Also, keyboardist Vince Welnick (The Tubes, Todd Rundgren, others) called his wife and daughter to the kitchen (?) and slashed his throat from ear to ear in front of them . Very sad, beyond belief.

Il fratello di Ed Wynne, Roly, la cui ultima vita fu tormentata da difficoltà, morì suicida nel 1999, un evento tragico per le famiglie Wynne e Ozric. Tuttavia, la band va avanti, chiudendo il decennio con l’uscita di Waterfall Cities nello stesso anno, e nell’estate del 2000 gli Ozric riemergono con Swirly Termination.
