Most cover records lack fresh ideas and unique sounds but Helloween's Metal Jukebox is certainly among the few positive exceptions. Instead of covering the usual suspects in form of heavy or power metal bands that might have inspired the group, the band chose twelve quite unique artists going from popular groups like The Beatles and Deep Purple to low-key artists like Babe Ruth and Frank Marino.

ドイツのヘヴィメタルバンドhelloweenが1999年にリリースした、全曲がカバーの企画アルバム。 1984年にHELLOWEENとして正式に結成された年から数え15周年、ローランド加入から10周年、更にアンディとウリ加入5周年ということで、記念の祝いとして作成されたという。

And to celebrate, they unleashed their unique sound on some of their favourite pop and rock songs of the past few decades. "Metal Jukebox" is an eclectic little collection, to say the least. The Scorpions' "He's A Woman-She's a Man" and Faith No More's "From Out Of Nowhere" are the two closest tracks to what Helloween are normally about.
