Tony Reeves. Author of ground-breaking journalism that contributed to the establishment of the 1973 Moffitt Royal Commission, Reeves remained for many years one of Australia’s leading lay experts on organised crime. Much later in life he published his popular biographies of Lennie McPherson (2005), Abe Saffron (2007), and George Freeman (2011).
Tony Reeves (born 18 April 1943, New Eltham, London, England) is an English bass guitarist/contrabassist. In the 1960's, he was assistant to Tony Hatch at Pye Records before leaving to become a freelance producer for CBS and Polydor and creative director of the Greenwich Gramophone Company.In the 1970's, he was the bassist for the bands Colosseum and Greenslade.

But he owned his own special niche in the realm, as a member of Colosseum, Greenslade, and Curved Air during the 1970s, and ended up becoming that field's answer to John Entwistle with his extremely prominent and complex bass sound.

Tony has had a long career in public service and in the private sector. Tony has spent four years as Chief Executive, during which time he has overseen a period of significant transition for the organisation, including providing leadership to the city through the COVID-19 pandemic.
