Centre for Talented Youth, Ireland (CTYI), based in Dublin City University, provides enrichment classes for approximately six thousand gifted students across Ireland each year. CTYI aims to allow all gifted and talented students to reach their potential, both academically and socially by providing relevant and interesting challenges based on ability and interest rather than age.
The Centre for Talented Youth-Ireland (CTYI) continues this tradition by utilizing standardized tests to find primary and secondary students who perform at the 95th percentile and above. These students are often not well served by school systems that focus on the development of average ability students, as is generally the case across Ireland (O’Reilly, 2013).
The Centre for Talented Youth, Ireland Saturday Programmes. Saturday programmes take place each Autumn (October to December) and Spring (February to April). Courses are available for both 6-7 year olds and 8-12 year olds. Saturday programmes usually run over an eight week period.
CTY Ireland would like to connect with our alumni! Since 1993, tens of thousands of students have passed through our doors and formed a legacy of CTYI traditions and friendships that have stood the test of time. We have been lucky to have alumni return to work with us, take part in research projects and attend CTYI events.
