History Pocketwatch "Marigold" was originally recorded by Dave Grohl during a session at Upland Studios in Arlington, Virginia with producer Barrett Jones on February 16, 1991, taking place a number of months after Grohl joined Nirvana.The session was executed in a similar way to how the Foo Fighters' debut album would later be conceived, with all vocal and instrumental parts done solely by Grohl.
Notes. Tracks 1-6 at the Laundry Room Studios in Arlington, Virginia on 23rd December 1990. Tracks 7-10 at the WGNS Studios in Arlington, Virginia on 27th June 1991 (35 min). Tracks 11-19 recorded at the First Ave. in Minneapolis, Minnesota on 8th May 1995 (37 min).

But, drumming for a great band such as Nirvana is not Dave's only claim in the world of music. Dave's musical career began at age 15 as the guitarist and later as the drummer for a punk band called "Freak Baby".
